Hold on to your Santa Hats…. The REPs are going to suggest that “TIMES are A-CHANGING ”

The theory used to be that buyers were too busy and preoccupied with Christmas plans like shopping, baking, parties and vacations

With all these things going on, buyers wouldn’t have time to be looking at properties too.

The REPs have a NEW way to look at it

… Because of technologies like smart phones and tablets, and our “always on” lifestyle, the old school thinking isn’t relevant any longer

The NEW truth and reality is, that the home buying season is year round

One of the pushbacks that we do hear when we’re talking with sellers about listing this time of year is the inconvenience of having to get the house ready for a showing

We typically suggest to sellers that if they think that having more time to get the house ready to show is important to them, then we can always have an option of 24 hours notice to show the home-creating less pressure

When enforced, its a great way to give you much more time to be able to organize

4) SERIOUS SHOPPERS

Andespecially this time year (when time is so short and so many things are going on )

It is typically serious buyers who are out in the market

Because they might only have their December break time to look for a house or they might be transferring here or maybe the time on their preapproval for their mortgage is running out

These buyers have good reasons to be out shopping for their new home
