Located 40 km east of Calgary, Strathmore, Alberta is situated along the Trans Canada Highway giving it easy access to the Bow River and the City of Calgary. Originally, Strathmore was a hamlet for the Canadian Pacific Railway lines. Now, the railroad tracks are removed and a growing community of 5 000 homes has emerged. Even more, a bustling agricultural community and a focus on family and preserving a certain quality of life as a way of life make Strathmore an amazing place to live. Residents favourite the Strathmore Family Centre because of vast array of recreational activities offered at the Centre. Residents can enjoy hockey, ringette, figure skating, and even lacrosse in the summer months. The Strathmore Family Centre also houses a large convention centre that can seat up to 250 for community events and meetings.

Residents can enjoy spending time at Kinsmen Park, Lambert Park and even the Agricultural Society Campground.
